Help!Trouble with a Phillips ToUcam installed

the web cam was installed and i had a chat with my friend using messenger.
then i wanted to take some pictures with it so i clicked on v/lounge and
emanual to learn it but it says "there was a problem during installation and
the hardware may not work properly". i cant even look at the user guide as it
is the online emanual. does anyone know anout this webcam? is there anywhere
i can get step by step advice? i am new at all this so need a dummys guide!
