ATA 133 is only for Raid using GA-8IHXP?

Hello I just got an GA-8IHXP to match my Asus P4T533-C. I noticed GA-8IHXP advertises ATA 133, but according to the manual, only ide 3 & 4 allows for ATA 133 (Raid)? I plan to only use one HD. Does that mean I can't get the ATA 133 performance?

Can some confirm if this is true?

Best regards,

Peter

Correct. The chipset's onboard controller is only ATA100. The motherboard's add-on controller is ATA133.

I wouldn't be concerned at all, not even slightly. There isn't any real advantage of ATA133 as compared to ATA100, drives simply aren't fast enough to fill ATA100's capacity yet.

I'm stuck with an Intel motherboard, any chance you'd like to donate a spare board to me so I can start overclocking?
