Is it still a good time to buy a psp?

I'm searching for portable device that could do all the multimedia stuff and play games and the PSP seems to be a really good choice. I'm just wondering if it's still a good time to buy a psp, or should I just save my money and wait?

I heard something about the psp4000 but I'm not sure if I read that somewhere or if it was a rumor or what. The PSP is nice, what game genre's do you like? I have been thinking of an Ipod Touch because I like games like Peggle and stuff like that... that play well on the touch. But racing games, football, etc... the PSP is the portable game system to have.
