My computer is capable of running Assassins Creed, however the installation Detection says otherwise.

My computer has a 3.00Ghz processor and the minmum requirment for the game is 1.9Ghz. The installation wizard shield dectection thing says it doesn't measure the required specification.

when i run the game the graphics go really weird and the sound is off, replaced by a kind of buzzing.

U may want to try updating the drivers for your hardware. They may be out of date and not compatible with the game. It could be that the rest of your computer is not capable of handling the game.

Have you checked which video card your PC has ? CPU performance may seem sufficient - but often Video is more important

Definitely listen to snowraptor, update your drivers and it should be fine. and check the other components of your have the ability. just post the parts of your computer here.
