I can't seem to get out of a parity error. I started out using Kingston memory KHX3200K2/16. Then I tried PNY Optima 256 DDR (for PC3200 systems only) chips and still receive the double beep indicating a parity error. I tried the clock suggestions from Kingston to no avail.
After 3 calls to ASUS, I have an answer as to why I was getting 2 beeps upon booting up. The Tech at ASUS told me the 800 series will beep the number of USB connections attached. I interpeted it as a parity error as stated in the motherboard manual listing of error codes.
