Screen goes white when I try to play a game on my PC

I just got roller coaster tycoon and it installed fine but when I try to play it, the screen goes all white and nothing happens.
I have an acer computer with windows vista from 2007. I've been able to play the origional roller coaster tycoon game without any problems

Ok i don't know what video and audio cards are, so i'm guessing i don't have them?

Make sure u install the drivers of every components of your computer like motherboard and video card...
