ok heres my situation (propably unsolvable)

3 months ago i bought a p4c800 deluxe. the box looks like this

----------------
http://www.asus.com/products/mb/socket478/p4c800-d/P4C800-box.jpg
----------------

what was inside of it looked like this

----------------
http://www.asus.com/products/mb/socket478/p4c800/p4c800_l.jpg
----------------

it should look like this

----------------
http://www.asus.com/products/mb/socket478/p4c800-d/p4c800_l.jpg
-----------------

basically what it looks like is a P4C800 in a P4C800-Deluxes box. on the back of the box its got a pic of a P4C800/not deluxe.

my bios startup screen says its a deluxe but that could just be the P4C800 Deluxe drivers i installed.

anyone know whats happened.

IMHO, don't think any driver you install can make the Bios say it's a deluxe when it's not. What's the difference between the two anyway apart from the price and Northbridge heatsink ? Check if your board have the deluxe features.

But don't overlook the fact that you may have got mislead. Talking from experience, I once bought a Geforce2 Pro but it turn out to be a GTS version eventhough the box and Bios said it was a Pro. Paid for the pro version also. I'm still slightly pissed even if the difference between the two isn't that much.
