I just put together a system using an ECS L7S7A2 and an Athlon 1800 but the temperatures seem to be a bit high. I put on a heatsink that I had lying around but I kept getting temperatures in the upper 40's with no CPU load whatsoever. That seemed a little high to me so I put on a different heatsink that I had lying around, a CoolerMaster that was supposed to be rated for use on up to an Athlon 3000 but I'm still getting readings of about 43 degrees with no load (and the case open). The heat sink itself isn't even warm to the touch. Is it possible that the temp sensor is bad? Anyone else have experience with this particular board? Thanks,
Steve

Your temps are on target. With an xp1800 and amd heatsink, my ecs board showed 53 celcius in the bios hardware section. I knew I had reasonable cooling and the heatsink was installed correctly, so I ignored it.
