AA problem in Empire total war

i have X8 AA and in the game and is like the AA is not activated.
what can i do?

What are your specs?

Are you activating in-game of from the GPU software-suite?

my specs are :
ATI Radeon 4850 1GB
Athlon X2 2.7Ghz
6GB Ram
in a 1600x900 monitor
and i put it from the game

I have the same problem, Empire: Total War - I turn on 2, 4 or 8x antialiasing in game or through the catalyst 3D display settings, nothing.

Specs:
ATI EAH5770
Intel Core2Quad 2.5ghz
4gb RAM
Native res of monitor is 1680x1050

Sapphire HD5850 vapor-x oc
q6600 stock
xfx 780i
2gb RAM

Changing setting in game, with CCC or Tray tools has no effect. Really annoyed.

Also, there doesn't appear to be any official ATI monitored support forum. The only thing I can find is the ATI forum on the AMD website that isn't officially monitored by ATI. I'd really like to let them know about this problem that seems to be pretty widespread.
