Hi, I'm pretty new to XP Home edition. I have user (limited) accounts set up
for my children. Does XP Home keep a log of when they log in & out of the
system? I can track their usage via searching for modified files but would
like a more hardset log if possible. Thanks in advance... Tom

Hi Tom,

No logs of that nature are kept. You need Pro to set a policy that would
create such a log.

Look in the Event Viewer (Start -> Run -> eventvwr.msc).
Click on the Security section in the left pane.
Look in the Categories column for Logon/Logoff events.

If this looks like a workable option, post back and I'll pass
along some ideas on how to filter out some of the info and also
how to make accessing the log a little easier.
