Asus Or Abit

I want to build a new computer and i have decided to buy P4 2.8 or 3.0, I have looked at some motherboards and cant decide bettwen Abit IC7 Max 3 and Asus P4C800-E Deluxe. Which one of these two is better for overclocking, which one is the better if you dont whant to overclock. Which one has the lowest sound. And does the Zalman ZM80C-HP fitt in both those motherboards?

not more than the Abit IC7 Max 3 cost. I live in sweden and it cost about 2500Kr = 180GBP i think. I whant a motherboard that doesnt sound much, good to overclock and good whitout overclocking. Ofcourse it doesnt have to be the BEST on the market couz i cant afford that.

Abit IS7 great board at a great price.

id go ASUS just because ive got one and its great for OCing. ive never used a ABit but im sure they;d also be great

abit comes with a lot more stuff and is packaged better then the asus. I really liked how abit gives you right stuff to set your computer up. Also asus bios is easier to use then the abit and asus has a little better perforamce right out of the box, while the abit can overclock better(make sure you get the right kind of ram for the abit, it is every every every picky).

P4 2.6c at 3.25, Abit IC7-G Max3, OCZ pc 4000, 2X raptors in a raid, and ATI 9700 pro 390/324.

Thank you for the help. But how about the sound? Do any of these motherboard have a fan and how loud are they? And if i want to put an Zalman ZM80C-HP on the vidocard will it fitt in those motherboards?

According to all the review sites I've checked, the Asus P4C800-E is a better overclocker than the Abit IC7-Max3. Of course we could just take Wusy's word for it...but I'd start checking review sites if I were you.
