Clock time keeps changing

Every time I turn on my desktop, the date and time on my Windows clock changes arbitrarily. Unless I reset the clock each time to todays date and time, the email I send arrives under different dates to the recipients who usually dont see the email. Is this an XP problem or a hardware problem? I've had my desktop about 3 years and run an AMD 1700 with an ABIT KG7A mobo and WIN XP home.

Replace the M/Bs CMOS battery
