My computer went dead on me a couple of days ago; whilst I was using it, everything shut down apart from the fans etc.
I managed to get it working again once, but I haven't been able to get it running since.
It is an MSI 745 Ultra; on first switching on, the D-Bracket LED thing hangs on the Memory Detection Test. I have two 512Mb sticks and have tried every combination (1 stick>slot one, 1 stick>slot two etc.)
Hitting the reset switch causes the D-Bracket to hang on the Early Chipset Initialization (which happens before the MDT)
Now it is even passing the first stage (Processor Initialization), and I have nasty red LEDs.
The CPU and memory sticks appear to be fine, but I don't know for sure; the mobo is probably fried, but I don't know for sure either.
Any suggestions?

First thing I'd try is testing another power supply on it.
Also, check to see if any capacitors on the motherboard are swollen or leaking.
