Heya guys. I hope there are someone here that can help me. I am currently on a lan with some friends of mine, and my computer just falled apart. I was just copying some files from a friend of mine when the computer turned itself off. Thought it was just a windows glitch of some sorts, but it soon proved to be otherwise.

When I try to turn the computer on nothing happens, and by that I mean nothing. No fans turning, no beeping...nothing. The mainboard got power, for the leds on the mainboard starts glowing, and the keyboard and mouse lights up. But when I hit the power on button one of the leds on the mainboard turns red for maybe half a second, then there is a sound like a small fizz ( not a burning fizz, more like a fizz caused by something turned off really fast ) then nothing. None of the fanst turn on, and the computer is dead...

Anyone out there that can help, or know the cause of the problem ? All help would be greatly appreciated.

borrow a freinds or use an old psu, see if that solves it, if this is not the problem then your mobo may be [-peep-] up.

Abit has a near perfect RMA policy. See if the board has any swollen or leaking capacitors, and get it replaced if it does. If not, suspect the power supply.
