This might sound ironic, but Intel could have squished VIA had they simply produced chipsets for AMD processors...

This WILL BE my next MOBO chipset, almost assuredly. That or a Gigabyte based VIA option. Just waiting for socket 939 option. Don't like buying registered RAM!

Makes no sense to buy now with the 939 on the horizon, gotta get a new mobo AND cpu if you buy a 940 now! Schtoopid AMD, just hope the on-die memory controller stays and isn't just a feature of the crippled Opterons!
