AK38n Mother board problem with 2500+ barton

Hello im new here i had this board for about 6 mounts and i have been haveing problems with is ever sence i got it looks like every body is haveing problems with it dont know mabe u guys can help but i when i got the board i up dated the bios and i switched the jumper to the 166 settign for the barton 333 and when i booted the computer up it would just stay there like there was no cpu in it so i chnge it back to 133 and it was workign at a 1900+ for 6 mounts so i waited for the new bios that came out a mounth ago and the barton worked but when i was in windows it would go to system stand by when i was like playing a game or serfing the internet so i said ok to my self rebooted the comp with the reset button and it acted like there was no cpu in it i was like D*** it but after like 2 min it would boot back up but it still contunes to do the system stand by any ideas on how to fix it or whats worng plz help

p.s Excuse me for my spelling i know its bad.
