Why i cant see my dvd-rw in my computer but it is operating using windows 7?

Hello,DVD drive and cd drive is not detected as I can see from the posts you should delete upper and lower filters, what if i have upper filters only, do i still delete this even if it has no lower case in my registry, help thanks

Windows 7 Explorer hides drives not in use.

1. Open explorer.
2. Click the Organize tab, layout and select menu bar.
3. Tools menu, folder options.
4. View tab and untick hide empty drives in computer folder.
5. Undo step 2 to put explorer back to normal.
