thunderstorms with lightning and power fluctuations. Jr bit the bullet
tonight. No smoke but the distinct smell of carbon resistors cooking. No
magic white smoke was seen leaving any caps. No obvious scorching on the
underside of the power supply board. Won't be much thottbot.com for me til I
get something else back online. I can cannibalize the parts. If anybody
knows a good retailer for mobos that support amd athlons post here.
Otherwise I think I'll look into a shuttle or barebones and put stuff in.

Where are you based. If the UK one of the best has to be
www.scam.co.uk/todayonly the thing is this changes everyday at about
12.00 in the afternoon and you can get some great buys there

Something similar happened to me but it turned out only the power supply was
fried, a very lucky thing.
