Ok, long story short, I intend to hook up my XBOX 360 to my LCD monitor for a better gaming experience. The Monitor in question is a:

Now although I'm unsure if this is the most effective monitor for the job, I'm broke and am very tired of playing on my 8 y/o tv. Although the picture is still good, its not meant for these modern games where I have to sit 2ft away just to struggle to read the text.

Now, my question is simple, will doing this make my monitor go kaputzki in a few months. I will admit to not knowing much about things like this and I'm used to the CRT days, so please offer me any advice you see fit.

I have all the parts needed for the fitting as well as external speakers that are powered via USB for sound(although they are stock,small and were free, they sound pretty good).

I cant see there being any problem. The lead to connect your Xbox to the monitor - which connector is it ? If the lead supports DVI then connecton will be straight forward.

And NO it wont damage your monitor.

most monitors these days have a 3 year warranty - if your going to have issues with anything your doing wrong you will find them within that warranty
