HELP!
I have changed from a Geforce FX5200 to Geforce 4 which is a broken card then, i cleared the Bios, and loaded default settings 'opitmized' and restored the FX5200, then tried to format then install windows but when it was copying files, the system crashes and shows a blue srceen which says something about IRQ crashing.....?? and when i 'save and exit' bios settings the system can't reboot, i have to press the rest switch.....:<
now i have installed windows 2000pro and its fine but i need XP! help!
using a SPI 300W, 1.2Ghz Thunderbird, 256ram, samsung dvd,cdrw,

Why did you clear bios and re-load windows to swap out a graphics card? Just wondering ... The IRQ crash warning could be brought on by any number of factors. If you chose 'Optimized' in your BIOS, I would double check the latency settings for your memory and compare them to what is recommended by the DRAM maker (incorrect memory settings cause the most OS instability in my opinion). Also, if its the graphics card causing the problem, make sure the AGP settings in the BIOS match the card (4x, 8x, etc.) and if that fails, swap out for another card.
