Recently, my WRT54G wireless router died, so I bought a WRT54GS to replace
it. Howevever, it seems to completely ignore any internet access control
policies that I have set (e.g., cut off my kid's internet access at 11:30 on
school nignts).
Is this a ploy on the part of LinkSys to sell subscriptions to their
parental control service?

I have the same problem with the MS router and was told by MS tech that once
connected it would not stop the connection. It would only stop a new
connection during the restrected times. A recomended workaround is to
shorten the lease time, but that was no help for me.
