ATI Radeon 9500 -- SB Augidy 2 -- Antec Plus660 AMG 330W case -- XP Pro
You are going to need a Voltage meter you will need to locate the pins on the motherboard that all those wires connect to.
Using the meter find out the pins that supplies the +5 volts in each row that is the Hot or starting pin.
If you don't have a meter use the diagram below to hook your USB cables up. I don't use a meter I just remember how it goes. I also double checked my notes. Hey I am old have to back up the grey matter with a few notes*
Colours should install this way.
The USB backplanes X2 locations should have 3-2 pin connectors in series ending in a single 5th pin.
The second set of double pins should be the +5 volts pins.
ºº <--Red.
ºº <--Plus.
ºº <--Minus.
¤º <--Single pin Black. The ¤ symbol represents no pin at that location.
You should have two sets of USB on-board connectors like that.
Most new motherboard kits have small ribbon cable hook-ups that have a black jumper block that connects to the USB onboard with polarity built into them so you cant get it wrong, but the above drawing should clarify how to plug in the many loose wires you should have from the front USB hub in the front of that case.
The wiring for all cases like that is the same. Make sure you sue the same group or set of wires for each channel seperatly do not mix the cable sets from the front of the computer case.
Hope this helps.

You do things the hard way. The pin ID's are listed in the manual, no need for a voltmeter. Also, there is standard color coding, here's what I do:
1.) Look in the manual to see which end is positive and which is negative.
2.) Look at the supplied header cable to see the order of the wires (I remember them now, but I used to anyway)
3.) If the wires are single connections, I tape them in order to make one solid connector
4.) I plug that connector in.
Of course some case companies offer a 1 piece connector. This is usually great, except that there's a board manufacturer that runs the second row opposite the first (can't remember which one), hence the reference to the manual once again.
