Problem playing devil may cry 4

Hello, I play DMC4 for quite sometimes now..i observed that when i repeat the recent accomplished mission nero can't use his devil bringer and all the acquired abilities(i.e exceed, streak, etc) can anyone help with this one??I never encounter it in the early versions of devil may cry..is there something wrong with my pc settings??
