Call of duty 5- directx error

I have played 10 missions of the game and now when i start the next mission the game successfully loads but it shows an error after loading that...."directX has encountered an Unrecoverable error, check readme for possible solutions"......I dont know what to do.

You could try downloading the latest version from Microsoft and see if it cures the problem.
