Ok, i just built a computer and it was working great. recently the computer crashed and i had to restart. When i did a message appeared saying "monitor in power save mode, activate using PC." Ive tried everything i can to try and fix it but nothing works. here are the things i have tried

1. checking to see if monitor is plugged in all the way
2. checked to see that graphics card was in correctly
3. cleared CMOS

BTW, typing this on an another machine

Can you yesy your system with another monitor... I don't think it is a monitor problem.
If another monitor also don't work check if all your hardware is inserted properly and if you can hear your disks boot-up. Does the BIOS give any error beeps by the way?

The message that you are seeing is coming from the monitor, I think. Most monitors display a message like that when they are not getting any signal.

I assume that you've checked to see if the comp appears to be booting up? Fans, HD are spinning?

Swap the cable, monitor, vid card, with known working one's, til you find the problem.
