I would hope its legit. Anyone who even tries to get a pirated online game like that working, is in for hours of work and nothing to show for it.

I would go for the 4870, it supports Dx10.1 and is slightly faster than the GTS250 i think.
I would recommend getting a Radeon 5770 though.

As for lazarocker - you are using a Laptop? Which model laptop is it? It is it a net-top? You didnt post details of your graphics card which is the most important component for gaming.
You probably have an intel graphics chipset, which frankly will suck. And will explain why games dont work, except for old ones/ones with inferior graphics.
