Hi,
I just recently updated the BIOS on my K7T266 Pro2. The problem is that when I try and set it to the High Preformance settings Windows 2000 freezes evertime. I can't set the FSB to 133 without it freezing so I'm stuck on 100.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what can be done to fix this?

Hi Oqtoe, First list your specs. AMD processor and speed rating, secifically the FSB rating. You might have a duron for all anyone knows. Got to list your hardware. List the brand and model of your mainboard too, and the ram specs ..PC2100/2700..etc.. one stick, two sticks?

I would do 2 things. First check tha manualy for a FSB jumper, there might be one on that board. If so you may need to move it from 100 to 133. I would also makre sure your ram is running at 133 and not 166. Default speed for PC2700 is 166. You may have to manually specift 133 in the bios so you can "underclock' your ram to 133.

I won't be back to check for while. Mod in another forum im in passed away and all of us there are pretty shook up. So i'll be gone for a long while. Good luck.
