Hey guys, Iv got a Denon AVR-1610 (5.1 surround receiver) I got a blu-ray player hooked up to my Multimedia entertainment setup.
Well when I play a DVD for example lets say Tomb Stone, and set the Audio to DTS, The Denon's display comes up as, "multi direct". it doesn't have anything to say about DTS, and I do get sound.
my Problem, What does this mean, I cant find anything in the Denon owners manual that tells you what this means and Google is coming up pretty dry on the subject.
Before I upgraded to blu-ray, the Denon would tell me its playing DTS or Dolby Digital when I was watching from a regular DVD player. The DVD player was an HDMI upscale model
Can anyone help me understand this?

When I play Blu-rays, the display tells me im getting the DTS MasterHD or Dolby TrueHD.

thanks in Advance for anyone who can shed some light on this for me, and for anyone else that might be wondering this.
