Gta iv pc controller help

Hello,
i want to know how can i setup gta iv pc to use my xbox 360 controller for windows. i also hear new games like gta iv comes with the option to use controllers rather than sandard keyboard and mouse. is this true, and if it is do i still need to get an emulator (xpadder) and how do i load the controller configurations to the game

Wired or wireless Xbox 360 controller? If you have a wired one just plug it in.

I grabbed one, works great. Only use it on a handful of games but works like a charm.
