Can red alert 2 work on windows 7 64 bit computer? want to know before i go out and purchase it... halp?

Yep it can. Just set the Compatibility mode of each .exe in the Red Alert 2 folder to Windows XP SP2.

THere's also a patch that will allow you to play it over IP in a lan called wsock.dll
