man ok...i can get this thing to clock right when it is running 133 fsb. but when i try to run at anything else, i get the wrong speed. even worse, when i try to run at 200 mhz, it actually sets me at 100 fsb, which throws me way off the mark. anyone got an idea? oh i am running ddr3200 also.

Well, the problem is not neccisarily in the board or the chip. You are just slightly confused about what the settings <i>should be</i>. Your 2400+ runs on a 266MHz FSB. This is a very common confusion, as this number is based on the double-data-rate (bits sent and received on the same clock cycle). The setting of 133MHz (<i><font color=red>core clock</font color=red></i>) is perfectly normal for that processor. A 333FSB chip would be set at 166, and a 400MHz one would be displayed as 200MHz in the BIOS. When you tried to clock it to 200MHz, you were almost trying to double the speed of your processor, which put the mobo into safe mode (100MHz FSB). Be thankful that modern boards & chips are more forgiving than they used to be, or you'd be asking about where all of the smoke was coming from ;)

I had the same poblem. What u need to do is set the jumpers on the motherboard to automatic(top middle of the motherboard). The default is 100 mhz. Then u have to go into the bios and set the cpu speed to optimum and the there is one more thing....u have to set to auto...it's all in the manual. I don't have it at this time.
