I know that before you can install Windows XP on a SATA drive you have to download the SATA drivers on another comp and copy them to floppy disk. Now theres a problem. It seems that theres two ones that might work: http://usa.asus.com/support/download/selectftp.aspx?l1_id=1&l2_id=20&l3_id=1&m_id=1&f_name=378ata_100104528.zip~zaqwedc and http://usa.asus.com/support/download/selectftp.aspx?l1_id=1&l2_id=20&l3_id=1&m_id=1&f_name=6420raid_210a.zip~zaqwedc. Anyways, when I unzipped both of them, there was a icon called MakeDisk on both files. I chose the A drive (floppy) to extract to. After it was done both times, I checked the A drive and it was blank. Then I tried copying the files (except for the VIA one, i only chose the WinXP folder, the rest of it is too large for one floppy) to seperate floppys and powering up my new comp and installing XP. as expected, it said no HD was found and i pressed f6 to try to install them. i pressed enter, and it just went bck to the screen saying press enter when ready. I think there is a problem with my floppy drive, as i used it from the OLD computer (P1 166mhz), and the disk got jammed so i think that maybe the reason. any input would be great guys!

Double click on the make disc icon & it will make the drive disc you need out of the unzipped files, on a floppy.

the floppy with the drivers on should also have a file TXTSETUP.OEM which points windows to the correct driver.
