vx7000 data cable?

Just got the LG VX7000. I'd like to be able to set up the phone book on some
sort of computer (Windows) software and then download it to the phone. I've
heard some people talk about "Bitpim", is this the software that I'd need? I
assume I'll need some kind of cable to do this.Is this the same cable I'd
use to connect the computer to the internet through a dial up connection?.
I'm really in the dark here, could some of you that know this stuff point me
in the right direction.
Also, anyone know if the VX6000 and the 7000 use the same external antenna
adapter, Wilson's site doesn't show anything for the 7000
