I know I'm going for the nForce2 Ultra 400 Chipset. I'm looking at these four brands, are all of them pretty much equal or is there any you wouldn't recommend? I'm somewhat financially challenged now so cost means a lot to me:

Asus
Abit
MSI
DFI

Any other worthy brands?

Thanks

If you can order online, you will save some dough. Pricewatch lists several nforce2 boards for less than $60. The Fic au13 is the cheapest listed at $51 shipped. The abit nf7 starts at about $68 shipped. Both boards should work fine. The abit board is preferred if you overclock.
These boards are recommended for 333 bartons. Many people have used them for overclocking the barton 2500 at 200 fsb. If you plan on getting a 400 barton, some older 333 boards may work with a bios flash. I mention these boards only as a money saving option. The latest abit and asus nforce2 ultra boards will work better, but you'll pay more. I would avoid ecs and pcchips.

You can have a look at Soltek too. I got one here and nothing to complain about. rock stable, fast. Highly recommended by me

Abit NF7 is a great value. If you'd like the killer nForce APU (Audio Processing Unit), the NF7-S is more expensive, but still a great value.
