Hi..

got a major prob on the system.. latley a bluescreen error occurs when i load up windows (when the 2k ms dos bar moves across the screen).. stating that the ACPI(i think) is not complient with my bios, and that i need to upgrade.. where only last week it was..

Things i have tried to resolve the problem:

1. Formatted Both Drivers- Reinstalled Win 2000 Pro
2. Changed RAM (because was not reading right)
3. Updated BIOS

Still nothing has changed, im lucky if i get to start up the pc without this error..

Anyone got any clue about this error? amd how i could get past this, as the PC is pretty stable, its just this *new* error it seemed to have picked up..

Thanks, Moto.

Need more info.
Am I correct in assuming that sometimes you can boot up? If so, go to Device Manager (right click My Computer, click Properties>Hardware>Device Manager). Click on the little + sign next to Computer. Does it say Standard PC or Advanced Configuration and Power Interface?
