I guess, NVIDIA how has enough resource to spend after P4 chipset, since they need half effort for making A64 chipsets.

I was going to post on this, but waited. Anyway, Intel charges VIA, ATI, and SiS for licences, but gives one free to nVidia...is it a bad move? I think Intel is trying to give nVidia the leg up on VIA, but at the expense of their alies, ATI and SiS.

Or, nvidia is one of the reason why AMD CPUs are so competitive..well their chipset for the XP , not their A64 chipset (yet). Maybe they want to have nvidia to leave AMD so they will have less to worry. If you cant beat them, join them!

Why not go for Intel..they are free? they may say.
Just my 2 cents..

Make no mistake, nVidia has wanted to break into the Intel chipset market for a long, long time. They were just too greedy to do so on a level playing field, they wanted an economic edge over their competition.

nVidia might have a problem on their hands though if they want to compete with Intel in the enthusiast market. Intel makes some darned solid chipsets.

I think it would be Nvidia's best interest to stay with AMD chipsets right now since Intel does not wanna get beat out of their own market and they will rape them for every penny if they try.
