CoH and Win 7 Lag Problems

Please Help!
I first did a clean install of Win 7 64-bit version. When I played CoH 4v4 skirmishes, the game eventually lagged no matter how low I turned the graphics settings down. So then I uninstalled and installed the 32 bit version and lo and behold, I had the same problem. It doesn't seem to matter which version of Win 7 I have or how low I turn down the settings, it will eventually lag. I have all of the latest drivers for every device on my laptop and can't seem to figure out what the problem is. My laptop is also Win 7 compliant for both versions. I had no problems with the graphics on Vista 32 bit so I don't understand whats causing the lag. I have a high speed internet connection through AT&T. Below is my dxdiag file. Please help!!! It would be a shame not to play CoH anymore. It's definitely one of the best RTS' ever made.

Directx 11 with 9500.That's impossible.Uninstall directx 11 and install 10.That may fix it.

DX11 is part of W7 and as it comes with W7 it cannot be uninstalled, I run W7 with a 9500GT so I know it's not impossible, any games that you play will only run in DX9 or DX10 as they are also part of DX11.

No it doesn't.When I installed win 7 pro x64 it had directx 10 not 11.The only reason I'm suggesting this is because 9500 doesn't support dx11.But this may not be the problem. It could be an av programm running at the background,a weak cpu or low ram.

Did you install the RC or the RTM? I have the RTM which had DX11 but the RC was DX10 IIRC.

Well as DX does not have an uninstaller and I don't think any version ever has had one, it's a moot point.

You don't need to uninstall DX; only the API that is needed will be used. Having DX11 installed won't cause any issues with non-DX11 cards.

Sounds like a memory leak. Funny thing, I don't remember that many in CoH though...maybe its a bug that appeared in 7?

Does it only happen on 4v4 skirmishes? I have Company of Heroes too, have settings on moderately high, but when playing with larger maps and armies the FPS soon drops down. It's just a case of whether or not your computer can keep up with it, really.

I have a similar computer specification to yours, albeit with an E7300 @ 3.2Ghz and I play the game in 1440 x 900, not your resolution.

So yeah, try doing smaller matches and see whether the frame rate improves. If this is the case, then it is definitely just your computer struggling on larger games.

Unfortunately, if you drop all settings down to low (or as low as you are willing to go, I know I wouldn't settle for minimum on anything :p ) and the problem still occurs, you may just have to avoid playing them!

Hope this is of some help.

Well i noticed that I can play 1v1 automatches with settings on moderately high without any lag issues. But like I said, i would always play 4v4 multiplayer and skirmishes on Vista 32 with medium settings and NEVER have lag problems. And from what I've heard about Win 7, it's supposed to use less ram and cpu than vista, that it's basically a simpler, more efficient, less of a power whore OS than Vista. So it doesn't make sense that running CoH on 7 would give me problems. But maybe the GPU can't keep up with 7 and CoH at the same time? I don't know if that's logical or not but it must be a problem between my GPU, Win 7, and CoH. I've also tried running CoH with both Vista and XP settings by right clicking on the shortcut, going into Properties, and changing the compatability mode. That didn't seem to do anything. I then went into the General tab under Properties and forced it to run on DX 9 and DX 10 by typing -dx'9 and -dx10 at the end of the Target box but that STILL DIDN'T do anything to stop the lag. I'm at my wit's end here, please help!!!
