I am posting this here instead of the driver section because it doesn't look like many people look at that forum.

I am having strange problems with the network connection to my Asus motherboard. I believe it has something to do with DirectX 9 and the drivers for the onboard Lan.

I recently purchased the Star Wars Galaxies game. It is the only DirectX 9 game I have. After starting up the game, I am taken to a character creation screen. After selecting a character the next screen is the planet loading screen. Approximately 50% of the time, my network connection fails during this screen, and I am kicked back to the character creation screen. Then my network connection is dead. I have to restart the computer in order to restore the connection. Note that I do not have to re-initialize my cable modem.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to solve this problem? I posted this at the Star Wars Galaxies board as well, but they have not answered and it has been some time.
