As you can see by how far heavy metal parts are flying, this is a very dangerous way to "fix" a system. I'm not sure I want to divulge the information at this time for safety reasons.

Man those 10,000 rpm drives are wicked when they crash :-)

lol, he should come to the school I work in 98% of the machines there ( there are more than 200) are pII 300 mhz 32mb ram lx chipset, s3 4 mb vid cards runnin ( this is the really sad part) Win 95 !!

Hmm, in my school, 90% of the comps are 1Ghz P3 w/ 512 SD and 16MB TNT cards and hopefully we is gonna get xp on em this year. The rest are 700Mhz w/ built in 4-6mb cards. New ones r arriving that r P4 high Mhz and like GF2's or something of that sort.

You lucky. At mine school we only have some 300 Mhz comps with 64MB running Win2k. One word: THEY SUCK!
No way you can play a nice game of Q3 or UT on our school computers with some friends :frown: .

Yeah, the computers at my school are almost the same, but crappier in some regards. Dell Optiplex Gx1's I think...haven't used them in a while. 1Ghz P3 Coppermine, 128Mb PC-100 SDRAM, 32Mb Tnt2 M64, onboard sound and speaker, 15 inch Dell "Value" monitors, built in NIC (10/100?), and windows 98se. The things use so much memory, you can't even run the simplest of 3D games (It struggles to load Quake3 at 640x480). The most "powerful" computers at my school are Macintosh *shudder* PowerG4's with the Macintosh Radeon 7500s. We have about 2 in a computer lab, and some teachers get one. *shudders again* I think I have to puke now...those computers are disgustingly slow.

Ok buy some small sparklers with the red wood handles and a roll of electrical tape. Take 7 sparklers and cut the sticks off. Wrap 6 around 1 and pull the middle one out a few inches for a fuse. Wrap the whole thing up with tape really tight paying attention to the end caps. About 6 to 10 layers should do the trick.

Personally I'm a light and runner. Throwing can break the fuse plus with running the thing is never in your hand. If one of these goes off in your right hand your new nick name is going to be lefty.

Well in some places you can't buy sparkles so this is another solution if you live in an area with a loth of agri-activity:
Buy some KNO3 and suger... mix it with 2/3 KNO3 and 1/3 sugar... then:
1. If you want to make a good smoke bomb find a nice plastic pipe and close one and with tape... then fill it with the mixture you made and stick it in the ground where you want to create the smoke-curtain. Then light the mixture at the open end of the pipe and stand about 5m away from it. You will get really cool green smoke.
2. You can make an explosive of it by closing both end and use some kind of fuse (ie. from a smoke bomb you can buy in some stores) to light it. WARNING: this solution will not always work good, KNO3 is best to be used as smoke bomb.

Yup... well the NO3 part mostly. It is used to 'feed'the ground so that the flowers in the greenhouses grow better.
I got a friend that bought a 25kg sack and then mixed it with sugar... it burned a nice hole in the road.

I pity the fool that tries to bust me for a victimless crime. I've been told that blowing stuff up is legal as long as you are outside the city limits and as long as it is your stuff. If I blew someone else's stuff up I would expect to go to jail or pay a fine. Blowing our own stuff up hurts no one so if I got in trouble for that whoever got me in trouble would pay one way or another.
