this forum works but there are lots of *free* forums which have lots of eye candy as well as a good layout and a better email notification system. the eye candy thing isn't that important but here when you ask for replies, it only emails you when somebody clicks reply on YOUR post but if somebody posts a reply to a reply, you don't get an email. forums such as phpbb (http://phpbb.com) or ikonboard (http://ikonboard.com) are very good forums and for free.

please don't flame me for askin, i'm just asking.

yeah i've thought of different forums, but nothin out there replaces this one

heh thats about the easiest question you could ask

Well I really like this forum... the atmosphere if good although there is a lot of trolling (I don't visit the trolled sections).
I'm also member of a Dutch forum (I'm Dutch) but I don't like it... no user titles... no mail reply system, to unproffesional look.

I'm actually posting pretty reguarly at SharkyExtreme. The people there are pretty nice and the mods make the forums very clean of spamming/trolling whatever. The only thing is, it doesn't have the atmosphere. When I'm here, I can feel really relaxed kinda, but over there, I'm just a n00b :frown: . The people here I've gotten to know quite a bit and it feels much *closer* here and not so stranger like over there. Although, it could be just cause I'm new there too....

i don't understand what yer saying..... you guys somehow feel as if this particular board holds you all together. if you go to techimo.com you see that it is a well knit community but it's run on VBulletin. a new forum wouldn't tear apart the entire community ya know.

I don't mind a new layout and stuff, it's just the people here are really friendly and outgoing and such. If they changed this forum and moved it to a different forum place, I wouldn't mind as long as the people stayed the same.

This forum is kinda like our family.. however broken it may be it's still ours and we like it the way it is. Sure we'd like some things to change but most of us can just deal with the way things are.
