All:

Several (including yours truly) have expressed problems with the DLink
DI-524 54g Wireless Router. After quite a bit of frustration, DLink's
tech support *may* have actually come up with a solution:

Go into the router configuration, click "Tools," and make sure "uPNP"
is DISABLED. Before I turned this setting off, I was averaging a
drop-and-connect with great regularity, varying from every 30 seconds
to every two or three minutes. When I turned this setting off (and I
didn't think it would work), I experienced ZERO dropouts for the
following 40 minutes (whereupon I went to bed). I've *never* gone that
long without a dropout/reconnect.

This configuration change was made with the 1.05 firmware installed. I
don't know if the same setting exists in prior releases of the
firmware.

I thought I'd pass that along...
