Just wondering which is the better m'board ?

ABIT IS-7 or ASUS P4P800 ?

and could someone suggest whats the best memory to use with these boards.
i get the feeling that Corsair PC3200 memory is good, i would like 1 gig but it depends on the price.
what sort tho' i see there's

'XMS3200LL DDR'
'XMS3200 Pro'
'Twin x'
?

I just want some good quality memory but not too expencive.

Get the IS-7.

As far as memory goes I would get the higher end stuff. For a few bucks more I'd get the Kingston HyperX, Corsair XMS or the OCZ EL series.

The IS7 gives you more features than the P4P800, often at a lower price. It's a great board, Anandtech listed it as a top performer. Several forum members have bought one based on my recommendation of it being the best value. HardwareBoss can vouch for them, his runs perfectly.

Black Cat is dead on with his suggestions for memory. Any one of the three (Corsair, OCZ, & Kingston) should be an excellent choice. You might also want to look at Crucial if you have no plans to overclock (not that you couldn't). Crucial has an excellent reputation for making very solid RAM at reasonable prices with very good compatability.

I'll vouch for the IS-7 too (albeit IS7-G in my case). Thus far it's been flawless.
