My Mass Effect 2 was running just dandy until my computer overheated
midgame. Since then, it's crashed everytime. I tried reinstalling the game, clearing temp files, removing and then updating video/sound drivers, removing save games, going through EA tech support twice (who were stupendously, staggeringly unhelpful) - nothing.

I then upgraded my computer to Windows 7, and sent it in for hardware repairs (there was a faulty heating element, which was replaced.)

It came back, I was excited to start playing, updated NVidia drivers, reinstalled game, and - boom, crash. Slightly different than when I was in Vista, but I'm not sure why the details are different.

Here's the error in full:

Vista crash:

Unfortunately, I think you fried something when your computer overheated. I'm assuming it's your memory. Could you try running something like memtest86 to test it?
