Windows problem...

Last night i restarted my computer an when i got to the welcome screen i got a box telling me i had to activate windows i was a little confused with this because i have never goten this message before and my computer has been running fine for a while now it gave me a yes or no option so i first chose know and it just stayed at the welcome screen i tried to log on but it came up again this time i chose yes and it brought me to a window that that said it was already activated and had only one option to exit so i clicked that and it brought me back to the welcome screen and the message saying that i need to activate windows came back again any ideas?

My guess is something must have gotten corrupted.
Call MS number for activation and see what they say.
