I am paying $70cad per month but first 2 months free. I am on direct connect and so far I have 6 guys uploading from me at 20-27k each. I am between insane and dude for dslreport speed test. :eek:

Teeheehee. I hope so.....AHAHAHA dialup. Come to canada butthead j/k :tongue: Hey cheaper net than the states I think. We dont have to buy the modems. IE my old nortel modem wont do 3mbit, so they exchanged for free with a Speedstream. So I am renting it, but hell it's worth it.

Wait a minute, I thought you can't buy the modems?
I got a Speed Touch from Alcatel and am using the standard HSE version, though it irritates me SO MUCH that it raised by 5$, in addition to bandwidth restriction. AUGHHH!
Sometimes cable seems cheaper, yet I feel not enticed by it due to complicated installations (in an appartment home, not every place can have cable wires so easily).

If I could buy the modem and get cheaper paying, I'd be a damn happy customer, though I really am angry at Bell for raising prices on the STANDARD version. Worse is for 10$ less, you get very limited bandwidth, 128K DOWNSTREAM, w00t! Talk about highway robbery!
I hope they will lower prices, this is seriously annoying.

Lucky you... I still got cable with 192 kbit/s down and 64 kbit/s upstream... with a 2.5 GB a month limit which includes both down and up going data...for €26.90... it almost looks like I live in Australia.
But maybe in some weeks I got 768 kbit/s down and 128 kbit/s up, with a limit of 5 GB a month for €36.90... not that bad.

I would like to buy the modem.
Considering it's worth $150 and I have paid them $220 in rental fees since my service was connected.
Hell will freeze over before Bell lets you buy the modem because it's a great source of revenue for them.

It's only double dialup speed.
That sucks!
How much do you need to pay for it?

Here I have 1,5 mbits/s down and 512 kbits/s up with Globetrotter High Speed from Telus. It cost $45can per month, but we can buy the modem, then it's $33can per month.

€26.90 that is about €27.44 (yup yup the € is more worth then the $)... but I live in Europe - Holland... so internet is much more expensive here... oh and did I say that my ISP sucks?

I have a couple of attack ferrets (in real life) They'll steal the keys. Little boogers are good at theivery. Stealing my damn shoes, jeans, remotes, keys, if it's not 3 times their weight they try to take it.

I've learned to keep mine empty. I keep all of my money(which usually ='s 5~12$) either in my ashtray or pocket.
