im getting 60fps in ut2003 (on inferno) i should be getting 72 or so, according to becnhmarks on the net. i know most of you will think, if he got it running at 60fps whats the point of wanting more? well if i leave it, in a month or two when they bring out the newer games like Doom 3, Far Cry, etc. they'll run slow and with my pc they shouldn't. (Unreal 2 plays pretty badly on big maps an extra 10fps would make all the difference).
Yes! everthing is updated and benchmark settings are correct!
im getting fine flyby fps so its gotta be CPU/RAM/Motherboard right?
using sissoft sandra the benchmarks are exactly the same as on the net for:
arithmatic and multimedia benchmarks, but not for memory bandwidth so
its the RAM or motherboard right?
the ram is brand new and there's not a lot to go wrong with RAM, it mostly works or doesn't (not many in between stages) so i doubt its that.
so its either settings on the motherboard or a problem with the motherboard itself. CPUID reports the ram timings to be 2.5-3-2-6 in bios ive set them to 2-3-2-6. i dont think the difference between 2.5 and 2 is all that big but if this is reporting wrong other thing could also be wrong. Anyone got any ideas? if i cant get this sorted i might buy another board.
