Something is shorted. Weather you made the short curcuit on assembly or the board came with a defect I can't tell.

Ah yes, you see, electricity is made of smoke, electricians try to make you believe that that it's made from electrons, amp's volts and an electromotive force (this is so they can charge you a great deal of money for fixing the "invisable" electrons in the circuits). This simply isn't true ! wires are in fact small pipes filled with smoke, batteries as well are filled with compressed smoke which power the system, and mains power has thicker wires because the power station pumps ( every noticed the smoke coming out of the chimneys !)have to move the large volume of smoke that is required at any given time to power your fridge, washing machine and airconditioners ( every wondered why ALL of these items have pumps in them ? now you know!) when you have a short circuit, what happens is the wire breaks and the smoke leaks out and in your case this has happened to your Motherboard. Take it back, and get another one.
Please note: all of the above is indeed BS, and tongue in cheek.
