dual xeon boards

I'm thinking of building either a dual xeon or a dual opteron server. when I look at motherboards to choose from, there are opteron boards that will support ddr400, but all the xeon boards I can seem to find say they only support ddr266. am I missing something here? would either setup benefit from say, ddr533 ram?

Last question first: No.

OK, now the Xeons still run "533" bus, and dual channel DDR266 is equal in bandwidth to "533", so nothing greater is needed. The Opterons "should" run fine with dual DDR400.
