booting problems

recently started to build a computer,all wires are connector correctly on the motherboard(biostar m7ncd) the computer turned on but the monitor fail to turn on,no post beeps either. I done everything manual told me but still no joy! what can i do to correct this problem? spec is this 2600 amd,256dram,20gb harddrive and pci graphics card(64mb).any help would be great!

See if it boots with the drive cables unhooked.
