I know the NF7-S is nforce2 SPP, and the AN7 is nforce2 Ultra 400...what is the difference? i thought the Ultra 400 was better (not sure why, both are dual channel memory 400FSB, correct?), why does everyone always mention the NF7-S when talking about the best Abit mobo for Athlon XP?

NF7-S is nForce2 SPP, but NF7-S is nForce2 Ultra400.

AN7 ans NF7-S v2.0 is same board, but AN7 has a feature called "µGuru". This feature is not that useful. NF7-S v2.0 costs slightly less, been around for quite a long time and a proven reliable board.

ALL current NF7-S boards are version 2.0, which means they use the Ultra 400 northbridge. Most sites have not updated their information to reflect this change. the Ultra 400 is the SPP validated for higher bus speeds, a newer stepping of the same chipset northbridge.
